Why Is Mobile Data So Expensive?

If you’ve ever wondered why it’s costs so damn much to use mobile data services in Canada, check out this blog post by Thomas Purves, who suggests we’re paying three to 16X what wireless customers in the U.S. and elsewhere pay. No wonder your Blackberry bill - if, in fact, you pay it yourself - is probably north of $100/month.

Yeah pricing is absolutely ridiculous and if the carriers keep wanting to push innovation and rich media our way they are going to have to soften blow and offer some attractive all you can eat DATA packaging.
